How long does the treatment with transparent aligners take?
Of course, the duration of treatment varies from case to case and can therefore not be determined across the board. In total, each splint is worn for two weeks. Essential, however, is the daily wearing time of the dental splints - the biggest factor for success or failure of the treatment. Unlike fixed braces, the success of treatment with removable braces is fundamentally determined by the patient. If the patient's cooperation is good and the wearing time of 20-22 hours a day is observed, the estimated treatment time can usually be met. On average, the duration of treatment ranges from 4 to 10 months.
However, in addition to the wear time, there are also factors that neither the practitioner nor the patient can influence. For example, teeth with a large root surface move more slowly than teeth with a smaller root surface. This is, therefore, an innate influencing factor.
